me and J went to esther's house!

then we ate ben and jerry's. esther has a lot.

and we started playing mahjong. but 3 people. and it was very lame and boring. so we decided to stop.

and then J went to play the piano. and i weighed myself. BAH. then i went to pee and lost 1kg.

yes, that was how the BIG, BLUBBERY, BLUEBERRY-like person in my mansion called me.

of course, we live in a mansion. last time we tried living in a place smaller but it got crushed by her when she fell down by accident.

i find it scary whenever she talks to me, because she will be towering over me while i wimper in a corner. not that my mansion has much corners, its just that when she comes towards me she occupies all the space around me, thus forming corners! ain't that cool. and if you are wondering how is that possible, it is possible because the ratio of her to me is about 50:1. but what makes everything scarier is the fact that her height is much enhanced when she lies down.

but for some reason still unknown to mankind, she is only able to hear high-pitched voices! i guess that resulted in my real voice being so high and causing me to have to mask my real voice with this really deep voice that's not as nice. but they say deep voices are sexy, so i shall just speak with this fake voice for the time being.

the wonderful adventures of the rectangular box that dropped down from outer space ;D
who flew into a nice posh mansion and for some reason got stuck to the wall.
no matter how the rectangular box tried to pry itself down from the wall.
it couldnt move!
very sadly, it stayed there for the rest of its life.
meanwhile it developed an allergy towards a certain remote control and so everytime someone pressed on a certain button on a remote, the rectangular box would start having breathing difficulties and keep puffing out air.
one day it finally died from puffing out too much air.
that's the end of the adventures of the rectangular box.
which was not even adventurous.

FINALLY MY DREAM IS GOING TO COME TRUE! me and J are gonna learn capoeira! yay!! capoeira is damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn cool lah. and i wanted to learn hapkido too.

but then i guess wig won't want. so we are learning T now. and so we won't be doing kickboxing! CAPOEIRA! X)

and hapkido i guess it's just weird. and aikido is for old men. so i guess we can come together when we are 35 years old. and learn aikido together! then we can bring our husbands and kids along.

BUT! if i had the choice. i would still prefer hapkido over taekwondo.

Kapok (Ceiba pentandra) is a tropical tree of the order Malvales and the family Malvaceae (previously separated in the family Bombacaceae), native to Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, northern South America, and (as the variety C. pentandra var. guineensis) to tropical west Africa. The word is also used for the fibre obtained from its seed pods. The tree is also known as the Java cotton, Java kapok, or ceiba. It is a sacred symbol in Maya mythology.

The tree grows to 60-70 m (200-230 ft) tall and has a very substantial trunk up to 3 m (10 ft) in diameter with buttresses. The trunk and many of the larger branches are densely crowded with very large, robust simple thorns. The leaves are compound of 5 to 9 leaflets, each up to 20 cm (8 in) and palm like. Adult trees produce several hundred 15 cm (6 in) seed pods. The pods contain seeds surrounded by a fluffy, yellowish fiber that is a mix of lignin and cellulose.

USES OF KAPOK!
The fibre is light, very buoyant, resilient, highly flammable and resistant to water. The process of harvesting and separating the fibre is labour-intensive and manual. It cannot be spun but is used as an alternative to down as filling in mattresses, pillows, upholstery, teddy bears, zafus and for insulation. It was previously much used in life jackets and similar devices. The fibre has been largely replaced by man-made materials. The seeds produce an oil used locally in soap and that can be used as fertilizer.

In Southeast Asian countries kapok has larger seed pods and the fibre which is highly flammable is used as a fuel in fire pistons, in Thailand called taban fai ตะบันไฟ.

The commercial tree is most heavily cultivated in Asia, notably in Java (hence its nicknames), Philippines, and Malaysia, but also in South America.

A similar fibre is found in the Indian Bombax ceiba (also known as Bombax malabaricum or "silk-cotton tree"). It is termed Indian kapok and is darker in colour and less buoyant than the true variety. Another species, the Kapok Bush Aerva javanica, produces a material that is used for stuffing pillows.

This tree is the official national tree of Puerto Rico.

Ethnomedical uses OF KAPOK!
Ceiba pentandra bark decoction has been used as a diuretic, aphrodisiac, and to treat headache, as well as type II diabetes.

Ceiba pentandra is used as an additive to some versions of the hallucinogenic drink Ayahuasca.
